Mr. Dou Yupei (in center), Deputy Minister of Civil Affairs and former Vice President and General Secretary of CCA, visited Lao Niu Foundation and initiated “A Thousand Philanthropists Project: Lao Niu Academy”

“A Thousand Philanthropist Project: Lao Niu Academy” was initiated by CCA and Lao Niu Foundation on August 15th, 2013. Instructed by Minister of Civil Affairs, the project aimed to cultivate 200 professional philanthropic workers in three years.

Lao Niu Academy was engaged to construct a high-level communication and study platform for its “students”. Except for training sessions, the project also provided them with short-term visiting learning opportunities to famous domestic and international organizations, and online/offline seminars and lectures.

Lao Niu Academy not only gave its “students” high-level platform of communication and study, but also provided them with resource platforms: on trainer-resource platform of the projects there were governmental officers, leaders of charitable organizations, entrepreneurs, and scholars; peer communication and collaboration platform among “students”; and social platform containing media, government, enterprise and the public. These platforms support “students” and their organizations in long term.

Till October 2016, Lao Niu Academy has held two editions of training for over 160 middle and high level managers of charitable organizations, and lectures to other over 300 people.
