CCA unveiled the 4th China City Philanthropy Indexes in December 2016. The index measured cities' philanthropic performances in six areas. They are charitable donations, charitable organizations, voluntary services, economic effects, government support and the culture of philanthropy. These six areas are evaluated from four perspectives of structure, range, devotion, and sustainability.

The index has published for four years, received wide acceptance and praise by the society. China City Philanthropy Indexes have become the “Love GDP” of cities that evaluates their levels of civilization.
